Attendee Code of Conduct

December 2025

1. Introduction

Pups in the Park is the UK's largest non-profit Kemonomimi and alternative meet. We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for everyone to socialise and express themselves.

This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees at our events. By attending, you agree to abide by these rules. Failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the event and potential bans from future meets and online spaces.

2. Age Restrictions & Eligibility

To ensure the safety and comfort of our primary demographic, we strictly enforce age categories with specific safeguards.

Children (Under 13)

Accompanied Only.

  • Must be accompanied by a responsible parent or legal guardian (aged 18+) at all times.
  • The accompanying adult must remain within the event area and is solely responsible for the child's supervision, behaviour, and welfare.
  • Lost children will be taken immediately to the Welfare/Medic point.

Teens (13 - 17)

Permitted Unaccompanied.

  • Attendees in this bracket are legally minors.
  • Strictly prohibited from handling or consuming alcohol, tobacco, or vapes, regardless of who purchased them.
  • Recommended to attend with friends or a trusted group.
  • Be cautious when interacting with adults you do not know. If an adult makes you feel uncomfortable, report it to a Volunteer immediately.

Young Adults (18 - 29)

Standard Access.

  • You are expected to model appropriate behaviour for younger attendees.
  • Please be mindful of the age gap and power dynamics when interacting with teenage attendees (13-17). Predatory behaviour will result in an immediate ban and police involvement.

Adults (30+)

Restricted Access.

  • Attendance is not permittedfor those aged 30 and over, with the following strict exceptions:
    • You are the parent/guardian actively supervising a child (Under 13) or a teen requiring support.
    • You are a registered carer for an attendee with a disability.
    • You are an official Volunteer or Organiser approved by the event management.
  • Adults attending as guardians must focus on supervision and must not use the event to socialise independently of their ward.

3. Public Decency

Our events are held in public parks shared with families, dog walkers, and the general public.

  • PG Rating: All behaviour, attire, and conversation must remain suitable for a general audience (PG-rated).
  • Gear & Dress:We welcome kemomimi gear (ears, tails), fursuits, and alternative fashion. However, gear must not be explicitly sexual or fetishistic.
    • Permitted: Ears, tails, paws, street-legal collars/harnesses.
    • Not Permitted: Exposed fetish gear (e.g., gags, bondage restraints), pup hoods, leashes attached to collars for "walking" humans, or indecent exposure.
    • Muzzles: All types of muzzles are strictly banned. They are considered NSFW and count as prohibited gear.
  • Behaviour: Sexual behaviour of any kind is strictly prohibited.

"Cosplay is not Consent."

  • Ask First: Just because someone is wearing ears, a tail, or a hood does not mean you can touch them. Always ask for explicit verbal permission before hugging, petting, scritching, or touching anyone’s gear.
  • "No Touch" Tags: Attendees wearing a "No Touch" tag will be respected absolutely. If you break this policy, you may be asked to leave.
  • Respect Boundaries: If someone says "no" or indicates they want space, respect that immediately.
  • Pronouns: Please respect people’s gender identities and use their preferred pronouns.

5. Prohibited Items

  • Weapons:No knives or weapons are permitted at the event. This includes Swiss Army knives and multi-tools.
    • Exception: Medics (identifiable by Green Lanyards) are permitted to carry tools necessary for their role.
  • Alcohol: No alcohol is to be consumed at the event.
  • Illegal Drugs: The possession or use of illegal drugs (narcotics) is strictly prohibited. Depending on severity, the Police will be contacted.
  • Smoking & Vaping: No smoking or vaping is permitted in the main event area. Please move away from the group if you wish to smoke.

5.1. Confiscation & Disposal

Organisers reserve the right to search bags and coats if there is reasonable suspicion of prohibited items. Prohibited items (including alcohol, tobacco, vapes, and weapons) found in the possession of minors (under 18) or used in strictly prohibited areas will be confiscated.

  • Illegal items (drugs/weapons): Will be handed to the Police.
  • High-value items (e.g., vapes/phones): Will be held securely and returned only to a parent/guardian.
  • Consumables (e.g., open alcohol/cigarettes): May be disposed of immediately at the discretion of the Lead Organiser.

6. Medical Safety & Allergies

  • Please be aware that many attendees have severe allergies. Do not share food without explicitly asking about allergies first. You are responsible for the food you bring.
  • If you have a serious medical condition (e.g., Epilepsy, Diabetes, history of Anaphylaxis), we strongly encourage you to inform a Medic (Green Lanyard) upon arrival.
  • Please carry your own necessary medication (e.g., EpiPens, Inhalers) at all times. Our Medics carry standard First Aid supplies but do not stock prescription medication.

7. Trading & Commerce

To comply with local council bylaws and ensure safeguarding, we strictly regulate trading at our events.

  • You are prohibited from setting up a "stall," "blanket shop," or displaying goods for sale. Exchanging cash or card payments for goods on-site is not permitted.
  • Personal trading (swapping) of low-value items (e.g., stickers, badges, trading cards) is permitted, provided no money changes hands.
  • Artists may hand over pre-paid commissions to clients. However, new orders should not be taken, and cash payments must not be handled at the event.
  • Adults are strictly prohibited from entering into financial transactions with unaccompanied minors (Under 18).

If you breach this Code of Conduct, Organisers reserve the right to:

  1. Issue a verbal warning.
  2. Ask you to leave the event immediately.
  3. Ban you from future Pups in the Park events and online communities.
